One space, two completely different visual approaches.
I was contacted by CLS Lighting to photograph their lighting installation inside the QUAX showroom, while also producing images for QUAX in the same session.
The shoot took place inside the QUAX showroom, where CLS Lighting had recently completed a full lighting installation.
The objective was to create visuals for both brands, each with a different focus. For CLS, the images needed to highlight the lighting setup and how it interacts with the space. For QUAX, the goal was to capture the showroom and its products in a clean and consistent way.
The setup was based on a mix of ambient light and flash, depending on the scene and the intended use of the images. During the shoot, I also tested new lighting accessories, including new light stands, which allowed for more flexibility in positioning.
One of the main challenges was working in the same space while constantly adapting the visual approach. Shooting for a lighting brand requires a different way of seeing compared to shooting for a product-focused brand like QUAX. Finding a balance and in some cases combining both required constant adjustments, but also opened interesting possibilities.
